The Paradox Of Seeking

The paradox of seeking

“What you are looking for is where you are looking from.”

– Frans of Assisi

Everything is here already. The universe is perfect exactly the way it is. The moment we let go of the idea that we have to search for something, we will realize that we are the very thing we are searching for. We are free. We are home. Perhaps the frustration we feel from time to time is a result of the friction between our inner being and our imaginary self? Our true nature is beingness – the very thing that makes existence itself possible. We are already it. Our ego believes it is separate from it all, and because of that it is constantly on the move, hoping one day to return home. To the ego that means hard work, and it will take some time to get there. Not here, not now, but sometime soon when this and that has fallen into place. What if we make a full stop? If we decide to stop every movement directed outwards, being thoughts, fingers pointing, projections, dreams, goals, hopes, longings and so on. Who is left, and where is this one located?
